In accordance with Council Directive (EU) 2021/514 (DAC7) transposed into Spanish legislation (Royal Decree 117/2024 and General Tax Law), digital platform operators in the European Union are legally obligated to report annual transaction records of active sellers to the tax administration (Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria - AEAT).
Only sellers completing 30 or more transactions in a calendar year OR generating gross sales over 2.000,00 € are reported.
Casual sellers with occasional sales below the thresholds are completely exempt from DAC7 reporting.
