Seller Guide
Being a seller on EUROPETCG comes with some obligations. Your ultimate goal must be your buyers' satisfaction. Therefore, we have written these guidelines so you know how to achieve this and avoid common problems.
Find the right item
It is essential that you list your item on the correct page. Most cards have several different versions (different edition, promo version, alternate art, etc.). It is vital not to list a card on the wrong page. For example, listing a Promo version on the normal foil card page with the comment "Is promo" is something that should not be done and can cause cancellations and penalties.
Use the correct description
In very rare occasions it is necessary to use the comments section, since most of the information is indicated in the sales filters. However, there are some cases where it is necessary to provide additional information, for example:
- Sealed cards (with stamps from tournaments or special events).
- Damaged cards (you must describe the damage in detail, ex: "water damage on bottom corner").
- Cards with a large condition difference between the front and the back.
Remember that not all buyers know the technical abbreviations. Also, given that EUROPETCG is an international market, we recommend writing these additional comments in English for greater clarity.
Be strict with card conditions
Card condition is not an exact science, but applying these two golden rules will save you complaints and returns:
- When in doubt, use the lower grade: If you're not sure if it's Near Mint (NM) or Excellent (EX), list it as EX.
- If the card doesn't look fresh out of the pack, it is NOT Near Mint.
Do not give contradictory information
The "system-readable" information (name, expansion, language, condition, and if it is foil/altered) is what dictates. Your comment must never contradict this data. Therefore, do not list a card in "Spanish" with a comment saying "Actually is in English". Search for the correct language option before publishing.
Ensure the order is complete
Pack all the cards you sold before shipping the order. Receiving an incomplete order is one of the most frustrating things for a buyer. If you realize a card is missing when you are preparing the order, do not ship it. Instead, contact the buyer, as they might prefer to cancel the entire order.
General rule: If a card is missing and you must send it later, all shipping costs for that second shipment are on the seller.
Verify exact versions
Verify expansion, language, and edition (e.g. 1st edition). Do not assume the expansion doesn't matter "because the card does the same thing in the game". Many buyers are collectors or are looking for an identical playset. If you discover you have a different version, contact the buyer before shipping.
Double-check the delivery address
Write the buyer's address exactly as it appears on the order. An error in a zip code or house number can cause the order to be lost forever.
Crucial: Always include your return address on the package. If the package cannot be delivered, it will only return to you if you put your return address. Also, it helps buyers who receive many orders quickly identify who sent it.
Mandatory for Untracked Shipments: You MUST keep the physical receipt (ticket) given to you at the post office when dropping off the envelope. If a package is lost and you cannot provide a photo of this receipt, you will lose the dispute 100%.
Respond within a reasonable time
The most important part of being a seller is customer service. It is highly recommended to answer messages within 24 hours. As a general rule on EUROPETCG, taking more than two business days to reply is not acceptable and can lead to penalties on your account. If a buyer raises an issue, always seek a friendly solution.
Be respectful always
Use appropriate and polite language. Take a few seconds to write a greeting. Many small conflicts escalate into huge problems just because one party used a harsh or inappropriate tone.
International sales
Having buyers from different countries, default communication facing a language barrier should be in English. We advise against blindly relying on automatic translators to resolve disputes, as they often create serious misunderstandings. If language is an insurmountable barrier to solving a problem, contact our Support team so we can mediate.
Complaints for missing items
If the buyer claims a card is missing, check your stock. Often they are left on the packing table. If you find it, negotiate with them if they prefer you to send it (you pay extra shipping) or a refund for the card's value. If the buyer had to pay extra shipping to another seller because of your mistake, you are expected to cover that difference.
Complaints about card Condition
This is the most delicate problem due to its subjectivity. If there is a disagreement:
- Listen to the buyer, grading mistakes happen.
- If the dispute is over a single grade difference (e.g. arguing if it's NM or EX), the golden rule of the community is to offer a 10% partial refund of the card's value.
- If there is no agreement, offer them to return the card (you paying return shipping if the mistake was clearly yours) for a full refund.
Processing a return correctly
If you have agreed on a full return of the order:
- Notify EUROPETCG: Contact us via a ticket so support is aware.
- Certified Tracked Shipments (Trustee Service): We hold the money in escrow. Once you physically receive the returned cards back in satisfactory condition, notify support via ticket to cancel the order and issue a 100% refund to the buyer.
How to withdraw your money
Once your sales are completed and funds are released to your virtual balance (either upon buyer confirmation or through the 25-day Trustee auto-release window), you can request a payout anytime from the Credit & Withdrawals section of your Seller Panel.
💶 Minimum Payout Amount: 25.00 €
To minimize transaction expenses and operational fees, the minimum amount to request a withdrawal is 25.00 €. Once your available balance equals or exceeds this threshold, the "Confirm Withdrawal" option is enabled.
Available withdrawal methods and fees
- SEPA Bank Transfer (IBAN): Available for all European Union and EEA bank accounts (0.0% platform fee).
- Stripe Connect: Direct automated bank payout in EUR (0.25 € technical transfer fee).
- PayPal EUR: Available across Europe (2.0% bulk payout fee).
External conversion charges by local receiving banks or currency exchange providers are determined by the third-party processor.
How to Sell in Card Lots (Bundles)
Selling cards in lots is a great way to move bulk, playsets, or full collections. To prevent spam and ensure lots offer genuine value to buyers, our system applies one key rule:
Once clicked, you can name your lot, upload real photos of the package, and set a single discounted price for the entire lot.
How to Create and Run Live Auctions
You can auction rare, collector, or high-demand cards directly from the Sell > Create Live Auction menu (vender/subasta):
- Starting Price: Start at 1.00 € to generate bidding interest, or set a higher base.
- Reserve Price (Optional): The minimum price you are willing to sell for. If not met, the card is not sold.
- Duration: Choose between 1, 3, 5, or 7 days.
- Anti-Sniping (+2 Minutos): If someone places a bid in the last 120 seconds, the auction timer automatically extends by 2 minutes to ensure fair competition.
Direct Offers Negotiation
Buyers can send you price proposals using the "Make an Offer" button on your listings. You can view, accept, counter-offer, or decline all proposals from your Negotiations Dashboard.
