How to package your cards for shipping
Find a suitable envelope or package
We recommend using a standard envelope without windows or a rigid cardboard envelope. Generally, we do not recommend using bubble mailers, as they do not prevent cards from bending in sorting machines.
Ensure the chosen package fits the amount of cards sent and fits perfectly into a standard mailbox.
Protect cards with sleeves
Place all cards from the order in sleeves. For valuable cards, we recommend using an inner sleeve (Perfect Size) and a normal tournament sleeve (double sleeving). Normal tournament sleeves can safely hold up to two cards together, while soft sleeves (Penny Sleeves) can hold a maximum of four cards.
(Optional) Insert the card into a Toploader
Place the card (already sleeved) inside a rigid plastic protector or Toploader. Note that to avoid stressing the seams and causing marks, there should only be one card per Toploader. EUROPETCG strongly recommends using a Toploader for any card with an individual value over 25 USD.
Seal the opening of the sleeve or Toploader
Seal the top opening with adhesive tape so the card doesn't slip out during transit.
Very important! Fold one end of the tape or place a small piece of paper between the tape and the sleeve opening. This creates an easy-to-pull tab for the buyer and prevents the tape's glue from touching the top edge of the card.
Secure the cards to a piece of cardboard
Find a rigid postcard or cut a piece of corrugated cardboard (ideally the exact size of the envelope's interior so it doesn't move). Place your secured cards on this cardboard and tape them gently to the surface so they remain fixed in the center.
Create a protective "sandwich"
Place another piece of cardboard or postcard on top of the cards, covering them on both sides and closing the edges with tape. If using double cardboard exceeds the weight limit of your shipping rate, you can place a couple of worthless "bulk" cards as outer shields inside the sleeve.
Place the order in the final package
Slide your rigid cardboard protection inside the envelope and seal it well. If you are sending a massive order and using a cardboard box, make sure to fill the empty space with newspaper or bubble wrap so the cards don't bounce inside during transport.
Anti-Fraud Tip: Record a Continuous Video
For high-value orders, we highly recommend that sellers record a continuous, unedited video of themselves packing the cards and sealing the envelope. Likewise, buyers should record themselves opening the package. In the rare event of a "missing cards" dispute, this video acts as the ultimate definitive proof.
Packaging is your calling card
As a seller, it is your responsibility to ensure the cards arrive exactly in the condition you sold them. Careless packaging can not only damage your cards but will result in negative feedback and possible refunds.
Buyers highly appreciate the care put into shipments. Flawless shipping guarantees repeat buyers. If you need more information, feel free to consult our Seller Guide or contact our Customer Service.
